I'm Melinda, and teaching has been a lifelong passion of mine. My journey started with the Education Department, teaching VacSwim lessons right after high school. With my teaching degree in hand, I dedicated many years to various Primary Schools and Day Care settings, both in Perth and the Pilbara. Country life treated me well, allowing me to connect with the community, camp, and start a family. I returned to my roots as a swimming teacher. I also worked with older children, concentrating on stroke correction, development, and squad endurance.
I have been swimming from a young age as a member of my local surf club, and through participation in swim sports during primary and high school, which prompted my transition into working as a swim teacher in early 2021. With experience in both private and public pools, I have taught a range of levels from young toddlers who are new to the water, to children progressing into squad-level swimming, and have developed the confidence to provide engaging and enjoyable classes for children of all ages.
